Kayla Jacobs, Registered Veterinary Technician

Kayla truly loves every part of her role as a Registered Veterinary Technologist, but if she had to pick a favorite, it would be getting to know pets and their families. She finds joy in following cases from start to finish, becoming that familiar, friendly face clients remember when they walk into the clinic. She also has a special passion for dentistry!

Originally, Kayla pursued a career in human nursing, but her heart kept pulling her toward animals. Her passion for veterinary medicine was solidified when her childhood dog was diagnosed with late-stage diabetes, and her family struggled with limited education on how to navigate such a difficult time. That experience motivated her to become the kind of veterinary professional who provides compassionate support and clear guidance to families facing tough moments with their pets.

Though her beloved Golden Doodle, Milly, lives with her parents in Ontario, Kayla makes time to visit and soak up all the puppy snuggles. Outside of work, you can find her hiking in the mountains with her fiancé, cheering on her favorite sports teams, taking scenic drives, or unwinding with video games. She also cherishes every trip home to spend quality time with family.
